John describes his management style as appreciating the benefits of consensus building to inspire exceptional achievement from a team of talented paraprofessional staff.  In a law firm, the role of paralegals and staff is to provide excellent support to our attorneys so that we can, in turn, provide outstanding service to our clients.  “Always treat everyone with civility, dignity and respect.  The essence of leadership is bringing out the best performance in others; not so much managing them but instead serving as a catalyst, creating the environment for them to flourish and achieve their goals.  Before I joined CCC, I was skeptical about the firm’s tagline:  ‘Good People. Great Lawyers.’  Now that I have come to observe the humanity and professional capability of everyone here, I can personally attest to how accurate this statement is.  These are indeed good people of high character, who happen to be extraordinary attorneys and paraprofessionals achieving exceptional results for clients.  Some of our clients come to us at a difficult time in their lives and it’s gratifying to know that we are able to assist them in meaningful ways.  Our clients also appreciate our business acumen and seek our advice to help them achieve their strategic goals.  Representing both businesses and individuals, Cooper Cargill Chant has the experience, sophistication and bench strength to help you achieve exceptional results.”
