Cooper, Deans & Cargill Becomes Cooper Cargill Chant

North Conway, NH - October 1, 2007 - The law firm Cooper, Deans & Cargill changed its name to Cooper Cargill Chant effective October 1, 2007. This change reflects the growth and development of the firm, its attorneys and staff. Led by five partners with four associate attorneys and a retired partner who remains Of Counsel, the Cooper Cargill Chant team provides a broad depth of legal services to an increasingly diverse client base.

This step marks the beginning of a new era in the firm's history. Started as a two lawyer firm in 1978, Cooper Cargill Chant is now the largest law firm in Northern New Hampshire. Its' attorneys and staff pride themselves on their continued efforts to provide legal services in the place that they call home. Cooper Cargill Chant works to represent a wide array of individuals and businesses in Central and Northern New Hampshire and Western Maine. The firm also will make it a priority to provide pro bono services on behalf of the less fortunate.

Cooper Cargill Chant has grown and diversified in step with the changing landscape of the North Country. The five partners, Randall F. Cooper, Kenneth R. Cargill, Paul W. Chant, Charles L. Greenhalgh and Dennis L. Morgan chose the name in keeping with the firm's traditions and to better reflect the growing law firm they are today. Long time partner Dorcas H. ("Penny") Deans remains with the firm in an Of Counsel capacity.
