Dorcas H. Deans, Of Counsel Dorcas H. Deans, better known as Penny to the many Mount Washington Valley area clients she has represented over the years, joined the firm in 1982. Throughout her distinguished legal career, Penny has primarily concentrated in the areas of real estate, estate planning and probate matters. Even though Penny will be spending a little less time at the office, she will always be a strong voice for her clients and her community. Numerous non-profit organizations have benefited from her involvement and legal representation. University of Maine (B.A., summa cum laude, 1963) Phi Beta Kappa; Phi Kappa Phi; Oberlin College; University of Maine (J.D., 1982) Penny has served as a Trustee of the Conway Public Library since 1991. She is a member of the Choral Society, former Chairman and Trustee of The Pequawket Foundation; former Treasurer and Trustee of Tin Mountain; and former Chairman and member of the Conway Municipal Building Committee. Penny is a member of the Carroll County Bar Association of of which she was Treasurer for nine years; a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and a former Carroll County Representative on to the Board of Bar Governors. Penny has made her home in Conway since 1971. She and her husband, Tom, enjoy traveling to all parts of the globe, particularly, to the British Isles, Central and South America. Penny is especially fond of hiking, tennis and spending time with her two grandchildren. |
