Paul W. Chant, Partner Paul W. Chant joined the firm in 1999 after meeting Randall Cooper, while serving on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Bar Association. Paul came north to build a personal injury, workers’ compensation and medical malpractice group. Prior to this change, Paul had spent 13 years at a leading Nashua law firm, first as an insurance defense lawyer, and later as head of the firm’s personal injury plaintiff’s practice. Paul has more than 20 years experience in bringing and defending personal injury cases. He has represented families and individuals in multimillion dollar litigation and in simple auto accident claims. Paul believes strongly that individuals should be fully compensated when they are injured as a result of others' actions. He also believes that most such claims can be handled in a very civil, amicable manner without a need for protracted litigation. Paul is also a Superior Court Certified Mediator, who is often retained to mediate and arbitrate private disputes. University of Vermont (BA 1982) and the Boston University School of Law (J.D. 1986). While in Nashua, Paul served on numerous Boards, including the Nashua Youth Council, the Nashua Chamber of Commerce, and the Nashua School District School Curriculum Council. He also joined the NH Bar Association Board of Directors (NH Bar Association President 1998-1999). Since his move to the North Country, Paul has become very involved in local activities, serving on the Boards of the Mount Washington Valley Economic Council, the Ham Arena, the Mount Washington Valley School to Career Partnership, the Kennett High School Student Improvement Task Force and as Moderator for the Tamworth School District. Paul also served as Chairman of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation Board of Directors. Paul lives in Chocorua with his wife, Anne, and three children, Sarah, Emily and Thomas. Paul loves kayaking, biking, the Red Sox and college basketball. |
